Javelinas Roll Over Rams

  KINGSVILLE, TEXAS – It took all of 70 minutes for the Texas A&M-Kingsville volleyball team to dispatch of visiting Huston-Tillotson on Tuesday night at Kingsville Hampton Inn Court. The Javelinas won the match 25-11, 25-14, 25-9 to improve to 4-7 on the season. (box score)

The Javelinas jumped all over the Rams (0-11) in each set. They opened up the scoring 10-3, 10-3 and 10-1, respectively in each set.

The Hoggies posted a season best .325 attack in the match. Amanda Waclawczyk (Poth/Poth HS) led the team with 10 kills and a .562 attack percentage. No other player had more than five kills, but 10 different players registered at least one kill.

Amanda Yeager (Brenham/Brenham HS) directed most of the Javelina attack with 18 assists. Brittany Von Ruff (Pearland/Pearland HS) added eight assists.

The Rams struggled on the attack with only 14 kills against 25 attack errors. Chantelia Washington led the team with six kills while Faron Bradley led all players with seven digs.

The Javelinas travel to Cameron University on Thursday night for a Lone Star Conference matchup.
