AUSTIN, TEXAS – The Texas A&M-Kingsville track and field team had two student-athletes competing on Thursday at the Texas Relays hosted by the University of Texas.

For the women, senior Rhonida Carter (Houston/Nimitz HS) competed in the 400-meter hurdles and clocked a 1:06.51.

On the men’s side of things, freshman Sergio Rios (Brownsville/James Pace HS) won his heat in the 400 hurdles in a time of 54.84 and advanced to finals that will take place on Friday.
