Charles’ return with 4:08 left on the clock gave the Javelinas the ball first and ten at the Savage Storm 12-yard line. Although the Javelina offense couldn’t muster anything, Schlebach split the uprights with his second field goal of the game.

Seven plays later, Mosley picked off the pass for the game clinching score.

The Savage Storm drove 53 yards on nine plays midway through the fourth quarter, but Cole Jones missed a 40-yard field goal wide left.

The key stop came on first and 10 from the Javelina 20 yard line when defensive end Jeff Edwards and safety Clayton Cretors stopped Savage Storm running back Marcus High for a six yard loss.

The Javelinas then responded by driving to the Southeastern 49-yard line, but Garza through his first interception on the year on third and one as Jairus Martin picked off the pass at the Southeastern 27 yard line with 4:45 left in regulation.

The Javelina defense responded by forcing Southeastern into three consecutive incomplete passes setting up Charles punt return.

Garza completed three consecutive pass on the drive, the key play coming on a 49-yard completion to tight end Ronnie Perard. It was the longest pass catch of Perard’s two-year Javelina career.

Southeastern tied the game on the next to last play of the third quarter as Marcus High scored from two yards out to culminate an 8-play 76-yard drive.

The Savage Strom converted a key third and 12 from the Javelina 19 yard line after an A&M-Kingsville offsides penalty negated a third down stop on the previous play.

Southeastern out-gained the Javelinas 262 to 138 in the first half, but the two teams went to the the locker room tied 10-10 at the half.

On the third play from scrimmage, Southeastern defensive lineman Noe Lopez hit Garza from behind, forcing a fumble which the Savage Storm recovered at the Javelina 37 yard line.

After the Javelinas fumbled, Southeastern drove 79 yards on 12 plays all the way down to the Hog one-yard line, but Williams fumbled at the one and it was recovered by senior safety Clayton Cretors.

Again the Javelina offense couldn’t get anything going out of the shadow of its own end zone and a 16-yard punt return by Jarius Martin gave the Savage Storm the ball at the Javelina 27.

Three plays later Sean Cooper ran it in from one yard out to give Southeastern a 7-0 lead.

This time the Javelinas responded as the game tying drive was set up by a 54 yard kickoff return by Clavens Charles , giving the Hogs first and 10 at the Savage Storm 34.

The Savage Storm drove 67 yards on their first possession of the second quarter, but had to settle for a 22-yard field goal attempt by Cole Jones after driving to the Javelina five yard line.

Midway through the second quarter the Javelinas started a drive that went only 44 yards, but took nearly five minutes off the clock and resulted in a Scott Schlebach 37 yard field goal that tied the game at 10-10 with 3:43 left in the half.

Each team had a chance to score in the final three and a half minutes, but couldn’t.

Southeastern drove to the Javelina 28-yard line, but had to punt and then the Javelinas drove to the Savage Strom 33 yard line but also failed to score.
