Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Magnolia, Arkansas - Javelinas sweep day 2 of Mulerider Invitational
 
In the first match of the day the Javelinas took on the Magicians of Lemoyne-Owens College. They successfully captured their second sweep of the season. The 2^nd set of the match went down to the wire and showed the Javelinas are still a force to be reckoned with even with their backs against the wall, pulling out the match in a 25-23 victory.
 
Cambelle Brammer had another great match to start her career collecting nine kills in this match as well as leading the team with eight digs. This brings her total for the weekend up to 22 kills and with two more matches to go she has plenty of time to build to that. Head Coach Tanya Allen-Gonzalez said " I love that this team has a ton of depth and that we are able to move people around and try multiple lineups," As Tayae-Renae Garcia had eight digs as well in this and Alexiah Thompson had three aces, this Javelinas team can attack from anyway on the court.
 
"Overall I'm pleased with the way we are preforming. We are a pretty young team and we are looking for growth in these preseason matches, and I'm seeing that." Coach Tanya Allen-Gonzalez added. This was the mindset heading into the match against tournament host Southern Arkansas.
 
In the Second Match of the day the Javelinas had a slower start to their game then other matches but were able to overcome it and take the first two sets in grueling 25-22 and 25-23 scores. The third set of the match was where the Javelinas shined when they secured their third consecutive sweep of the weekend with a 25-14 win over Southern Arkansas.
 
Coach Tanya Allen-Gonzalez stated "I'm really proud of our team's performance tonight. We had a number of players really step up and contribute to the win." Alayna Guerrero continue to shine as she racked up another 41 assists in this match bringing her total to 100 assists in just the first three matches of the season. Tayae-Renae Garcia starred as the other veteran performance with her 21 digs to match the amount she had against Arkansas-Monticello and added three aces to her line. Young players really came through as well as Cambelle Brammer and Karli Krueger tied with 10 kills on the team each and three other Javelinas having seven or more kills.
 
The Javelinas will finish out the weekend against Central Oklahoma at 10 a.m. as they look for the tournament sweep.
