Kingsville - After a fantastic weekend in San Angelo, the Texas A&M-Kingsville men's and women's track and field teams are splitting up their squads, heading to Texas State's Bobcat Invitational, Trinity's Trinity Invitational, and Texas' 98th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays.
Kingsville will be sending four men's distance runners to San Marcos for the Bobcat Invite. They will leave Thursday morning, race the 5k at 8:00 p.m., and return the same day. Seventeen Javelinas will make their way to Austin, 11 men and six women. Both men's 4x400m relay teams, three 100m runners, a 1500m runner, two men's pole vaulters, and a pair of women's throwers will compete in the prestigious Invite on both Thursday and Friday.
The rest of the TAMUK crew will head to San Antonio for the Trinity Invite, where they will compete across Friday and Saturday. A number of the athletes on their way to Austin are also slated to stop in San Antonio on Saturday and compete at Trinity's Invite as well.Â
The weekend will mark the final one before the Javelinas return home for the 2026 Cactus Cup, a Kingsville-hosted Invite that will also serve as the final home event of the season for TAMUK's T&F teams.
