Javelinas stack Indoor All-Conference Teams

Kingsville - Ten different Texas A&M-Kingsville Track and Field Javelinas were named to the All-Lone Star Conference First Team, and four to the LSC's All-Academic team, as the squads combined to put 20 total athletes on an All-Conference team after a spectacular performance at the Lone Star Conference Indoor Championships.


First Team:


Karina Alvarez - Jr. 
Alvarez captured the gold medal at the Lone Star Conference Indoor Championships throwing 13.52m in the event. Earlier this season she would throw 14.55m, which would land second all time in Javelina History. Yesterday, she was named to the USTFCCCA's All-South Central Region Team.

Kenzie Kurdys - Jr.
With one meet left in her first season as a Javelina, Kurdys brought both a First Team selection and a spot on the LSC's All-Academic Team. At the LSC Indoor Championships Kurdys cleared a bar set at 3.92m, becoming the first Javelina in program history to break 3.90m in the indoor vault. She also won gold in the event and tied for 17th place in the nation with that jump. Yesterday, she was named to the USTFCCCA's All-South Central Region Team. 

Madison Ramos - Sr. 
Ramos cleared 1.74m at the LSC Indoor Championships earning gold in the event. Earlier in the year she cleared a height of 1.76m, which is a program record and ranks 7th in the nation. Yesterday, she was named to the USTFCCCA's All-South Central Region Team. Additionally, Ramos was named to the LSC's All-Academic team, an elite selection for the conference's best student-athletes. Ramos will be hoping to finish her indoor career on the podium on Friday when she competes in the high jump at the 2026 NCAA D2 Indoor National Championships.

Darius Bouakal, So.
His first time on the podium at Conference, Bouakel is raking in awards this postseason. He was the third leg of the 4x400m relay squad that won gold at the LSC Indoor Championships. The squad ran a time of 3:09.62, which broke the school record by nearly a second and would become the 11th fastest time on the national D2 list. Yesterday, the team was named to the USTFCCCA's All-South Central Region Team. Additionally, he was named to the LSC's All-Academic team, an elite selection for the conference's best student-athletes.

 Tony Benitez, Sr.
Already a multi-time All-American, Benitez took part in the 4x400m relay squad that won gold at the LSC Indoor Championships. The squad ran a time of 3:09.62, which broke the school record by nearly a second and would become the 11th fastest time on the national D2 list. Yesterday, the team was named to the USTFCCCA's All-South Central Region Team.

Michael Samihamba, Gr. 
Samihamba adds another First Team selection to his already long list of accomplishments as he enters the final weekend of his collegiate career at the 2026 NCAA D2 Indoor National Championships. He ran anchor in the 4x400m relay squad that won gold at the LSC Indoor Championships. The squad ran a time of 3:09.62, which broke the school record by nearly a second and would become the 11th fastest time on the national D2 list. Yesterday, the team was named to the USTFCCCA's All-South Central Region Team.

Joseph Mouaha, Fr.
In his first Collegiate season, Mouaha has been an excellent addition to the 4x400m relay squad, which he helped win gold at the LSC Indoor Championships. The squad ran a time of 3:09.62, which broke the school record by nearly a second and would become the 11th fastest time on the national D2 list. Yesterday, the team was named to the USTFCCCA's All-South Central Region Team.

Jason Gordon - Fr.
Gordon brought home the gold at the LSC Indoor Championships with a Heptathlon score of 5018. The score would earn him 4th in the Javelina Record Books and become the 21st-best score in the nation. Yesterday, he was named to the USTFCCCA's All-South Central Region Team.

Django Segovia - Sr.
At the LSC Indoor Championships, Segovia brought home the gold, clearing a jump of 4.96m to cement his placing. The jump would also place the 35th-highest in the nation. Yesterday, he was named to the USTFCCCA's All-South Central Region Team. He was also named to the LSC's All-Academic team, an elite selection for the conference's best student-athletes.

Matthew Cordero - Jr.
Cordero captured the gold medal at the LSC Indoor Championships with a throw of 15.62m in the shot put, topping the podium in dominant fashion. 

Second Team:

Oneika Brissett - So.
Brissett earned silver at the LSC Indoor Championships in the 200m dash with a time of 24.01 sec, which would become the 17th-fastest time in the nation. The time would also make her the second fastest time in Javelina History. Yesterday, she was named to the USTFCCCA's All-South Central Region Team. She also qualified for the 2026 NCAA D2 Indoor National Championships in both the 200m and the 400m, and will run in the prelims for those events on Friday.

Christopher Gonzalez - Fr.
Gonzalez earned silver at the LSC Indoor Championships in the Hepathilon with a score of 4840, which climbed to fifth on the Javelina all-time leaderboard. 

Jayden McCoy - Fr.
McCoy reached the podium at the LSC Indoor Championships, earning bronze in the Long Jump with a leap of 7.22m. The jump ranks fifth all time in Javelina program history. 

Caden Soliz - So.
Soliz placed fourth in the Hepathilon at the LSC Indoor Championships, posting a score of 4499 to rank ninth in Javelina program history. 

Tyron Schmidt - Fr.
Schmidt earned silver at the LSC Indoor Championships in the shot put with a throw of 15.48m.

Leon Doran - Fr.
Doran was part of the men's Distance Medley Relay squad that earned silver at the LSC Indoor Championships alongside Joshua Perez, Jacob Swierc, and Aiden Summers. The team clocked a time of 10:18.21 to finish second in the event, it was also the second fastest time in school history.

Joshua Perez - Fr.
Perez was part of the men's Distance Medley Relay squad that earned silver at the LSC Indoor Championships alongside Jacob Swierc, Aiden Summers, and Leon Doran. The team clocked a time of 10:18.21 to finish second in the event, it was also the second fastest time in school history.


Jacob Swierc - So.
Swierc was part of the men's Distance Medley Relay squad that earned silver at the LSC Indoor Championships alongside Joshua Perez, Aiden Summers, and Leon Doran. The team clocked a time of 10:18.21 to finish second in the event, it was also the second fastest time in school history.

Aiden Summers - So.

Third Team:

Trevor Upton - So. 
Upton reached the podium at the LSC Indoor Championships, alongside Segovia in Pole Vault. He cleared a height of 4.81m earning the silver medal. Earlier in the year Upton cleared a height of 4.90m landing in the top-10 in school history and 42nd in the nation. Yesterday, he was named to the USTFCCCA's All-South Central Region Team.
