Destin, FL - The Texas A&M - Kingsville Women's Golf Team finished in thirteenth place at the Emerald Coast Collegiate. The team shot a total of 914 (+62), placing right behind the hosts of the tournament, #25 University of Missouri - St. Louis, and ahead of #49 Ashland.
Leading the pack for the Javelinas was
Mia Scrimgeour, shooting 14 over-par in the 54-hole tournament. After going 10-over in round one, Scrimgeour exploded for a career-low even-par in round two. She followed up the performance, going +4 in the final round, finishing 14 over-par and placing tied 37th in the tournament.
Finishing right behind Scrimgeour, tied for 41st, was
Mekdes Rozas. Rozas headed into day three of the tournament 72nd in the rankings with a score of 17 over-par. She would have a stellar round three, shooting a career low of 2-under, jumping her up 31 individual spots by the end of the round.
Viviana Farias started off the tournament hot, ending day one one over-par and tied for 10th place going into day two. Things would slow down for Farias in day two and three, and she would finish 18 over-par and would rank 51st.
Jamie Miller would have a stellar round two, going just three over-par. She would finish the tournament +21 and 65th in the tournament.
Zoe Dean would finish 67th and +22 over the three days.
The Javelinas will take a few weeks off before heading back on the road to Goodyear, AZ, to compete in the 2026 Women's Palm Valley Classic hosted by the Ruidoso Junior Golf Association.
