Javelinas finish eleventh at the Rattler Invitational

San Antonio, Tx - The Texas A&M-Kingville Javelinas finished 11th as a team at the Rattler Invitational, shooting a combined +81 over the 54-holes.

The team dealt with frost delays both days, pushing back tee times an hour from the original times. Originally, teams were scheduled to play 36-holes in day one, but due to the delays, the Hogs were only able to get through 34-35 holes, leaving the last one to two holes for the start of day two.

After round two, the Hogs held a firm position of the ninth spot. After a slow start to round three, the ladies weren't able to maintain their position, sliding down a few spots.

Viviana Farias led the charge for the Javelinas after shooting even par and within the top 20 of the tournament. Farias would end the tournament tied for 20th, shooting 14-over par in total through three rounds. Zoe Dean would finish not too far behind with a final score of 18-over and tied for 37th.

Mekdes Rozas and Jamie Miller finished tied with each other, placing 68th. Both ladies finished the 54-holes 27-over par. Mia Scrimgeour finished the tournament tied for 70th, improving her score each round. Scrimgeour finished her tournament 28-over par.

The Javelinas take a week off from competition as their next tournament is March 8-10, as they compete in the Emerald Coast Collegiate hosted by the University of Missouri - St. Louis.
