Rockwall - Texas A&M-Kingsville finished the 2025 spring season at the Lone Star Conference tournament, placing 10th at the Rockwall Golf and Athletic Club.
The Javelinas finished with a +77 score over three rounds at the LSC championship, finishing in 10th place out of twelve LSC teams in Rockwall. The Hogs sat just behind Lubbock Christian University with just a two point difference for the ninth place spot and improved their finish at the LSC tournament from the 2023-24 season.
Day one of the tournament began in a very solid fashion for the Javelinas, as a +20 scoreline through the first 18 put the Javelinas right in the thick of things at the tournament.
Zoe Dean started off well, notching a pair of birdies on the first two holes to go with four total for the round. The second round was not so kind for the Javelinas, as a +45 would set the Javelinas back from the pack heading into day two.
The third and final round of the LSC tournament was another solid round for the Javelinas with a +22 score.
Mekdes Rozas finished a stroke under par to lead the way for the Hogs in the round thanks to an eagle on hole 16 to go with three other birdies to wrap up a tournament-best round for the transfer from Arkansas-Monticello.
Dean had the best individual finish for the Javelinas, finishing in the top 25 in individual score lines with a +14. Rozas finished with in 34th place with a +19 scoreline while
Alessia Rojas and
Jamie Miller both finished in the top-50 individual performer at 41st and 45th respectively.
