STUNT wins first ever home game, downs St. Edward’s

Kingsville - In a game that doubled as both the home opener and the season finale for the Javelinas, the Texas A&M - Kingsville STUNT team took down St. Edward's, 11-6, for its fourth win on the season.

TAMUK's newest NCAA Championship sport ended its first regular season in program history with a half-game, played in the SPEC on Saturday, which gave the team its second straight win over the Hilltoppers.

"First time playing at home since our scrimmage, the nerves started to hit the girls different," Head Coach Lindsey Garcia said. "I am so proud of what the team did today."

The Javelinas improve to 4-11 on the year and 2-6 in Lone Star Conference play.

"Today, they were able to show all of our supporters what this team is truly about," Garcia said.

The team will now look ahead to the LSC Championships, a double-elimination tournament played on March 28th and 29th and hosted by the conference's No.1 seed, Dallas Baptist.
