Denton - At the Texas Woman's University Tournament this weekend, the Texas A&M - Kingsville STUNT team got its first wins in school history, beating St. Edward's 11-2 on Friday and Connor's St. 11-3 on Saturday.

In its third ever regular season weekend of competition, the Javelinas collected two different wins, dismantling St. Ed's and CSU by a combined 17-point margin.
"They did so good, we won two out of five games this weekend and had so many positive things out of every game, even the ones we lost," Head Coach Lindsey Garcia said.
The team played five total games across two days of competition, starting the weekend with the win over St. Ed's, before losing to No.10 St. Mary's 24-0 and No.15 Southern Nazarene 12-11 on Friday.
"Today the team put up a fight," Garcia said. "We had a lot of mistakes that could have not been made but overall they did amazing. Each week this team just keeps getting better and better, and I truly am so amazed on how far we have come and how much we have overcome."
Saturday saw the Javelinas again start the day with a win as they beat Connors St.. They then lost 17-1 to No.11 Texas Woman's to close out the tournament.
"I am beyond proud of the results these girls put out there." Garcia said. "We had an injury occur during warmups to where we had to take that athlete out for the game, and these girls put their heads on straight and managed to fix each routine to replace our injured athlete with only four minutes till play time."
