San Angelo - Two titans of the Lone Star Conference face off as Texas A&M-Kingsville travels to Angelo State Saturday at LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit Union Field.

The Javelinas (4-1, 3-0 LSC) are one of four teams currently unbeaten in conference play, with the Rams (3-2, 3-0 LSC) joining them in the ranks of the undefeated. Now both teams square off in a pivotal match for conference supremacy.

Both programs are currently receiving votes in the American Football Coaches Association top-25 poll, with the Javelinas totaling 17 top-25 votes in the latest poll. A win for either team likely means a spot among the 25 best teams in Division II.

Historically, the Javelinas are trying to change the narrative around themselves and the Rams, as Texas A&M-Kingsville have not beaten Angelo State since a triple-overtime game in 2011.

Kickoff for Saturday's contest is set for 6:00 p.m. CT with the game being streamed on Flosports. Live coverage of the game can also be found at JavelinaFB on Twitter or Live Stats provided by Angelo State.

Quick Hitters:

- Angelo State is coming off of a stellar 36-7 win over reigning LSC champions UTPB. They also took home both the offensive and defensive player of the week awards for the conference.

- Saturday's matchup will be a good-on-good matchup, with the Rams boasting the No. 5 rushing attack in the conference and the Javelinas brandishing the No. 1 rushing defense in the conference.

- That rushing defense is also the No. 6 rushing defense in all of Division II

- After a week off the throne, the Javelina defense is back on top with the best redzone defense in the nation.

- Leading the Javelinas in tackles this year is Travis Bielefeld. The sophomore from Somerset, Texas, posts a team-high 21 total tackles to go with three TFL's.

- Sophomore Quarterback Teague Sedtal has been effective as much as he has been efficient. He ranks number one in the conference in completion percentage and is the only QB in the LSC above a 60% completion percentage.
