HOUSTON – The Texas A&M-Kingsville track and field program competed at the Fastrak Collegiate Challenge on Friday in the Yeoman Fieldhouse on the campus of Houston, as the Javelinas had standout performers in a slew of events on Saturday,

In the women's iteration, sophomore Katryna Hernandez (Skidmore, Texas) heaved the impliment13.35m (43-1.75) to take seventh as the only DII participant in the top-17.

Junior Kimberly Ortolon (Edna, Texas) secured second in the pole vault with a mark of 3.70m (12-1.50) for a new season-best. That vault moves her into second on the Lone Star Conference leaderboard, while placing her 29th nationally.
