Air Traffic Controller
  • Koy Detmer Jr. threw for 450 yards in the loss to No. 4/5 Tarleton, completing 37 passes on 65 attempts and adding three touchdowns
  • The 450 yards are second-most all-time in program history as Abel Gonzalez's record of 457 yards in an NCAA First Round loss on November 17, 2001, against UC Davis stands as the all-time mark for the Javelinas
  • The 65 pass attempts tied the program record originally set by Bryan Ehrlich in a Kanza Bowl loss to Emporia State on November 25, 2012
  • The 37 completions broke the previous school record, also set by Ehrlich in the 2012 Kanza Bowl
  • The Javelinas have thrown for over 400 yards four times, first accomplished by Gonzalez in 2001
  • Ehrlich eclipsed 400 yards twice in 2012, once for 418 yards in the Kanza Bowl, but first did so on September 22 in Kingsville against No. 15 Midwestern State for 415 yards

Defensive Stalwart
  • Tre'Michael Tutt's 22 tackles (12 solo) against ENMU on Sept. 28 set a new program record for most tackles in a game
  • Tutt broke the record of 21 originally set by Robert Soza against Nevada on Sept. 15, 1984, and matched by Chris Hensley against Pittsburg State on Dec. 2, 1995

Gone in a Flash
  • Donte Ross' 48-yard punt return touchdown against ENMU on Sept. 28 was the first punt return touchdown by a Javelina in nearly 10 years
  • The last Hog to return a punt for a score was Corey Robertson on Oct. 31, 2009, against Abilene Christian
  • The last TAMUK special teams touchdown was a 100-yard kickoff return by Jordan Thomas against William Jewell on Nov. 8, 2017
  • Josh Wilson added the second special teams touchdown of the year with a 70-yard return following a blocked field goal against Western Oregon on Oct. 12

Goose Egg
  • TAMUK's 72-0 win over Sul Ross State was the first shutout for head coach Daren Wilkinson since he first took over the program ahead of the 2015 season
  • The last shutout came in the 2010 season, a 21-0 win over A&M-Commerce on Sept. 8
  • It was the 126th shutout in program history and the 10th of Sul Ross State

Lone Star Conference in the National Rankings
  • Three teams from the LSC are ranked in the AFCA poll and D2Football.com rankings
  • Tarleton remains the top team from the league in both polls, currently at No. 4/5 following the win over TAMUK
  • Angelo State got bumped up to No. 21/19 with a 65-7 win over UT Permian Basin
  • A&M-Commerce remained at No. 24/24 with a 62-21 win over Western New Mexico
  • West Texas A&M, now receiving votes, defeated Eastern New Mexico over the weekend, 35-14
  • ENMU is no longer receiving votes as a result of the loss to WT

Go Big or Go Home
  • The Javelinas have 51 plays over 20 yards, including three of at least 70 yards

  • Josh Wilson added a 70-yard blocked field goal return against Western Oregon on Oct. 12
  • A 48-yard punt return touchdown by Donte Ross, a 43-yard pass completion from Cade Dyal to Darrian Hambrick, both against ENMU, and a 40-yard rush from Kris Barnes against MSU Texas are the other plays that went beyond 40 yards
