SILVER CITY, N.M. (Men's Basketball) – Texas A&M University-Kingsville (15-10, 8-8 LSC) will touch both sides of New Mexico beginning with a game on Thursday against Western New Mexico University (2-22, 0-16 LSC) at 7:30 p.m. on Drags Court, followed by a 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon tip-off at Greyhound Arena verses Eastern New Mexico University (12-14, 6-10 LSC).

As the regular season draws to a close, Texas A&M-Kingsville hits the road after wrapping up a 12-4 home record. The Javelinas lead the nation with a .287 three-point field goal defense percentage and ranked 12th in Division II with a .400 field goal defence percentage.
The Hogs downed West Texas A&M 76-59 before losing in a brawl to UT Permian Basin in triple overtime, 87-81. Duan Wright leads the way with 12.4 PPG and 33 steals. He is followed by Trey Sumpter 10.3 PPG and team best 5.1 rebounds per game. Derrick Byrd has 79 dimes this year and has upped his scoring average to seven points per game after recording a season-high 21 points against West Texas A&M. Caelan Neal averages 9.3 PPG with 28 steals and Robert Stevenson is third in the conference with 1.6 swats per game.Â
The Javelinas will began the weekend against a struggling Western New Mexico team who is winless in conference play. The Mustangs average 64.7 points per game and gives up 83.6 points per game. WNM shoots a .359 clip from the floor, including 28.3% from the three-point line. Jordan Enriquez leads the team with 13 PPG followed by Willie McCray who puts up 11.6 PPG and leads the team with 62 assists and 27 steals. Latrell Spivey is close to averaging a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds per game, while also achieving a team-high 13 total blocks.
The Hogs and Mustangs met earlier this season for the first time in each programs history. The Hogs won 77-58 largely due to a big 42-23 first half after shooting a .607 clip from the floor including 5-of-10 from long distance. Justin Jones led the team in scoring with 14 points behind four triples, and was trailed by Neal and Byrd who finished with 13 and 11 points, respectively.Â
Eastern New Mexico is in a dog fight for the final spot in the Lone Star Conference tournament  and will face Angelo State on Thursday before being paid a visit by the Javelinas. The Greyhounds are 6-10 in LSC play and has a 2-5 record on their home floor. The 'Hounds average 76.7 PPG and 43.1% shooting and knows how to defend as their 7.65 steals per game ranks third in the league.Â
Four total players for ENM averages double-digit scoring, led by Cornell Neal and Marquise Harris who both average 14 PPG. Neal averages a team-high of 4.2 assists per game and ties Joe Clarke with 32 steals, who also averages 12.5 PPG and a team-leading 15 blocks. Lamarquis puts up 10.5 points per contest and averages 5.3 rebounds per game. He trails Chris Lewis on the glass who leads with 7 boards a game, while chipping in 8.4 points. Â
TAMUK has won four of its last five games against ENMU. The last win for the Greyhounds was on their home floor last season when they edged the Hoggies 74-71. In the 72-64 win earlier this season, Wright exploded for 23 points and shot 9-of-10 from the charity stripe. Elliot Taylor had a career game, posting his second double-double with 11 points and a career-high 11 rebounds.
