First Time for Everything
Saturday's contest will be the first time the Javelinas battle the Aggies. Oklahoma Panhandle State joined the Lone Star Conference as a football affiliate in July 2016 and will leave the conference following Nov. 12's game. The Aggies will drop down to NAIA.

Records Fell
In last week's 28-13 victory over Western New Mexico University, Myles Carr became the single season passing touchdown record holder, surpassing Abel Gonzalez's 24 passing TDs (2001). Carr has thrown for 26 touchdowns this season and holds a completion percentage of 66.7 percent, the best mark in school history.

In the victory, Stehly Reden caught his sixth and seventh touchdowns of the season, setting the tight end touchdown mark. Reden is in his first season in Hoggie Land after transferring from Colorado State University-Pueblo.

Bowl Watch
Should the Javelinas miss the NCAA South Central Regional tournament, the LSC has had teams appear in the Heart of Texas or the Live United Texarkana Bowl in recent years, with Eastern New Mexico University and Texas A&M University-Commerce. Both games are scheduled for Dec. 3.

Team of the Month
Hero Sports chose Texas A&M-Kingsville as the team of the month in Super Region Four and the Javelinas are currently leading the poll as the national team of the month. Voting continues until 1 p.m. CT today. Hero Sports has the Javelinas ranked No. 22 in its national poll and four Hogs have won player of the week in 2016.

LSC Honors
This season, the Blue and Gold collected four weekly conference nods – Carr after leading the Hogs to a season opening win at the University of the Incarnate Word, Jones after tallying 6.5 tackles for loss versus the University of the Permian Basin, Alex Kuyinu after 4.0 sacks in the win at Tarleton State University and Luis Lopez, who won last week's LSC Offensive Player of the Week award after rushing for 92 yards and two scores on just 10 carries.
