Box Score WICHITA FALLS, Texas — No. 17 Texas Woman's overwhelmed the Texas A&M-Kingsville softball team as it closed play in the Lone Star Conference Showcase with a 13-4 loss at Mustangs Park on Saturday.
With the loss, Kingsville moves to 7-20 overall and 2-7 in the LSC. The Pioneers are 19-7 overall and 5-4 in the conference.
The Javelinas fell behind in the bottom of the first inning as TWU drove in six runs. The Pioneers extended its lead to 10-0 with three more runs in the second inning and one in the third.
Kingsville would get on the board with four runs in the bottom of the third.
Erica Graham singled to start the frame and went to second as
Myrissa Sanchez singled.
Cortnee White bunted to load the bases and
Bailey Offill reached first on a fielder's choice driving in Graham. After
Jaeleen Castro lined out to the short stop, Sanchez was put out at third base.
Adela Gomez homered to drive in White and Offill and make the score 10-4.

The home run was the third of the year for Gomez, who leads the team with 15 runs batted in.
Texas Woman's ended the game with two runs in the fourth and one in the fifth.

Carlie Clark (2-9) suffered the loss for Kingsville. Clark allowed six runs with six earned on three hits. TWU's Katie Hines claimed the win for a record of 5-5.
Kingsville had eight hits for the day compared to the Pioneers, 12 hits. Â
Valerie Ramirez had the most hits for the Javelinas with two. Four players from TWU had two hits.
Softball goes back to Wichita Falls for a pair of doubleheader against Midwestern beginning next Friday with first pitch set for 5 p.m.
