KINGSVILLE, Texas –With wins in four of its last five games, the Texas A&M-Kingsville softball team hits the road this week with doubleheader at Incarnate Word on Wednesday before traveling to Canyon for the Woodward West Texas Invitational Friday through Sunday.
Kingsville is coming off of a sweep of Huston-Tillotson in its last outing on Saturday. The Javelinas (4-3) won the opener 4-1 and the second 5-0.
Senior 
Bailey Offill has gotten off to a strong start for her senior campaign with the Javelinas. In last week's doubleheader with Huston-Tillotson, Offill led the way with a .600 average at the plate in two starts, a 1.000 slugging percentage and .667 on-base percentage. The second baseman finished with a .476 batting average leading the team. She also led the team with four doubles, five runs batted in and six runs scored. Offill had a .667 slugging pct and .533 on-base percentage. 
Valerie Ramirez is second on the team with a .320 average, while 
Adela Gomez leads the team with six runs batted in.
Tapley earned her first win as a member of the Javelinas in her start against Huston-Tillotson. The sophomore transfer tossed 5.0 shutout innings without allowing a hit or run. She struck out seven batters before 
Ariel Kellogg completed the shutout with two innings versus the Rams. Kellogg leads the pitching staff with a 3-1 record and 1.09 ERA in 24-2/3 innings of work.
The doubleheader with Incarnate Word on Wednesday was originally scheduled for Tuesday but was moved to Wednesday with poor weather in San Antonio. The first game is set for 3 p.m. Live stats will be at http://www.sidearmstats.com/incarnateword/softball/.
At West Texas, the Javelinas will face five Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference programs. The Hoggies open on Friday at 11 a.m. against Fort Lewis before taking on Metro State at 1 pm. On Sunday Kingsville will play another doubleheader with contests against Adams State and Colorado State-Pueblo at 11 a.m. and 1 pm., respectively. Colorado Mesa will be Kingsville's final foe at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
