ABILENE, Texas (Football) – No. 8 Texas A&M University-Kingsville (1-9) concludes its 2014 season on the road, taking on No. 7 McMurry University (2-7) on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. at Wilford Moore Stadium.
The game will McMurry's final as an NCAA Division II institution as the War Hawks announced its intention to move down to NCAA Division III at season's end. The War Hawks defeated the Javelinas, 27-21, on Sept. 27, but the Hogs hold the all-time series edge, 12-7-1.

When They Last MetDespite throwing three interceptions that led to 13 points, Texas A&M University-Kingsville (1-3, 0-2 LSC) had a chance to come from behind and escape Abilene with a victory. However, McMurry University (2-1, 1-1 LSC) sealed the victory, 27-21, after their third pick of the game with 53 seconds remaining in the evening contest at Wilford Moore Stadium.
Despite going 1-of-4 on red zone chances and 5-of-14 on third down conversions, the War Hawks dominated on special teams, led by punter David McHugh's five punts inside the 20.
A great defensive stand, highlighted by
Braedon Robinson's tackle for a loss gave the Javelinas one last drive to rally from behind and win the game.
