Javelinas Come Up Short In Season Opener

Box Score SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Rashad Basey had 27 points, five blocks and three steals Tuesday night but it was enough for the Texas A&M-Kingsville men's basketball team to overcome a second-half surge by No. 19 St. Mary's in an 80-65 loss in the season opener for the Javelinas at Bill Greehey Arena.

Basey was joined in double figures by Ronald Scott who had 12 points in his debut. Diaz had nine points on three treys and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.
