Kingsville - Texas A&M-Kingsville Women's Basketball announced the hiring of Graduate Assistant Coach Bailee Pierce for the 2026-27 season the team announced on Friday.
Pierce will join a staff led by eighth year Head Coach
Michael Madrid and second year Assistant Coach Katie Lemanski by way of Kansas University. There, Pierce assisted the Jayhawks to a 22-14 record and a semifinal appearance in the Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament.
"We are thrilled to welcome Bailee to our coaching staff", said coach Madrid. "She is an exceptional young coach with a tremendous passion for the game and a strong basketball foundation, having grown up in a coaching family. During her time at the University of Kansas, she gained valuable experience working with a nationally respected women's basketball program."
Before beginning her coaching career at Kansas, Pierce would play her high school basketball at Hettinger/Scranton High School from 2017-2021. She would then enroll in Kansas University and began working for the Kansas Women's Basketball program as a student manager in 2022, earning her Bachelor's degree in 2026.
