Joshua Endo has been named the Lone Star Conference Hitter of the week after leading a historic sweep over Sul Ross the conference announced on Monday.
The junior from Houston Texas notched 12 hits, nine RBI's, a double and the first home run of the season for the Javelinas in a clean 4-0 series over the Lobos. Endo becomes the first Javelina since the 2023 season to be named hitter of the week after
Nick Wolff took home the weekly honor.
Endo's biggest performance of the series came in the historic game four, where he would rack up four hits, three RBIs and a double in a 26-15 victory over Sul Ross. The 26 plated runs would break a 27-year old record for most runs in a single game while the 24 RBI's also set a new single-game high mark in program history.
Endo has now notched a hit in 14 of 18 contests while reaching a base in 17 games as well. The Southwestern University transfer racked up multi-hit contests in every game against Sul Ross, bringing him up to 10 multi-hit games this season.
