Kingsville — The No. 21 Javelina STUNT team fell to No. 12 St. Mary's on Friday in what was a historic and emotional day for the program, dropping the match and falling to 6-14 on the season and 2-5 in Lone Star Conference play.
Despite the result, the day carried significance beyond the score. The Javelinas hosted their second home match in program history and celebrated their first-ever Senior Day, honoring four student-athletes who have helped build the foundation of Javelina STUNT — Karlee Hinojosa, Kyce Cochran, Alexia Garcia, and Liliana Mendiola.
The four seniors were recognized before the match in front of family, friends, and fans at The Spec in a moment that the program and its supporters will not soon forget.
With the regular season now behind them, the Javelinas turn their attention to the Lone Star Conference Tournament later this month. TAMUK will have the remainder of March to prepare and look to make their presence felt when the postseason arrives.
