STUNT open season on the road at McNeese

Kingsville - The Texas A&M-Kingsville Javelina STUNT team is starting their 2026 campaign in Lake Charles, LA, to compete in the McNeese State University Tournament. They'll have three matches against Texas Woman's University, McNeese State University, and Centenary College in that order.

In College STUNT's preseason rankings, the Javelinas find themselves 18th coming off a historic first season. In their inaugural campaign, the Javelinas earned the program's very first postseason win with an 11-6 victory over the St. Edwards Hilltoppers, establishing a foundation of success to build upon.

The tournament will test the Javelinas early, beginning with a 9:00 AM matchup against 11th-ranked Texas Woman's University. The Pioneers present a formidable first opponent and will set the tone for the day. Following a brief break, TAMUK will take on host McNeese State at 11:15 AM before concluding the tournament against Centenary College (Louisiana) at 1:15 PM.

The team will face some tough competition throughout the season, squaring off against multiple top-15 teams starting this weekend with Texas Woman's ranked 11th. The schedule also includes matchups with DBU ranked 4th, Southern Nazarene University ranked 14th, St. Mary's University ranked 10th, and even a showdown with the University of Kentucky ranked 2nd in the nation in Division 1 STUNT. These high-caliber opponents will provide valuable experience as the Javelinas look to climb the rankings and build on last season's success.
