Kingsville - The Texas A&M-Kingsville men's and women's cross country teams are set to begin their cross country seasons tomorrow at the Bearkat Opener in Katy, TX.
Joined by a pair of talented recruiting classes, the teams will compete against NAIA and D1 competition at the Invitational. Joining the Javelinas will be Our Lady of the Lake University, Cisco College, North American University and the Invite's host, Sam Houston State.
"We are racing in the evening for the first time in three years," Hall said. "We are really focusing on racing."
Despite the men's team's top two runners and the women's fastest racer sitting out of the season opener, the teams will still hope to compete against the Bearkats atop the competition at the Invite.
"This will give an opportunity for the freshman and underclassmen to gain some valuable race experience," Hall said.
