Kingsville - The Texas A&M-Kingsville men's cross country team was picked to finish seventh in the Lone Star Conference by its preseason poll, which is voted on by LSC Head Coaches and Sports Information Directors.

A loaded class of incoming recruits are set to help lead the Javelinas, who are slotted one spot ahead of their eighth-place finish last at the LSC Championship race last season.

"It's a testament to these young guys and the work that they put in to be moving up the ranks," Hall said. "This group wants more, however, we are excited to see how they perform over the next months."

Two of the young guys hoping to help the team outperform expectations were named to the LSC's Runners to Watch List, Leon Doran and Abner Villanueva. 

"Leon is one of the most talented incomers to the Lone Star Conference," Hall said. "Abner has been a proven work horse for the program."
