Pueblo, CO - Seventeen Javelina athletes from the Texas A&M - Kingsville track and field teams (10 men, seven women) are ready for the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships in Pueblo, CO this weekend.

Starting on Thursday, the athletes will compete in 15 total event entries (two relays, four individuals entered in two events). Any athlete placing in the top eight of an event will be named to the All-American First Team, while 9-12 will be selected to the Second Team. Athletes competing in events  with preliminaries (men's 800m, men's & women's 4x400m relay, women's 400m), must place in the top nine of the event (top two finishers from each heat, plus the next three fastest times from any heat), to advance to the finals of the event.

On the men's side, Jhonatan Rodriquez Osorno and Keyshawn Garcia will be running in the 800m, Thomas Nieto will compete in the pole vault, both Ronald Greuso Mosquera and David Guzman will throw in both the shot put and the discus - where they will be joined by Paxton Hair. The 4x400m relay crew of Sterling Riles, Tony Benitez, Micheal Samihamba, Taylor Chaney will hope to bring hardware home from nationals for the second year in a row. On the women's side, Madison Alegria and Afaf Benhadja will be high jumping, Jazmin Ray will be triple jumping, and the record-setting squad of Oneika Brissett, Cynai Christopher, Vitiana Robert, and Sakara Wade will compete in the 4x400m relay - Brissett and Christopher will both also compete in the 400m as individuals. Twelve of the 17 athletes will be looking to become All-Americans for the second time this calendar year (indoor season).

Each day's events will be live streamed through the NCAA, with a separate link through the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Network to watch the throws events.
