Corpus Christi, TX – Texas A&M-Kingsville wrapped up its exhibition game against the Corpus Christi Hooks, 20-0, Wednesday at Whataburger Field.
The Javelinas took part in the Hooks' extended spring training game in a mid-week exhibition game, neither teams' record will be by this game. This game marks the second time the two teams have faced off, with last matchup happening in 2023.
The game featured a good number of highlights for the Javelinas,
Maurice Martinez would get on base thanks to an error from the Hooks and stole second.
Nick Reyes would also get a double down the right field line in the second inning.
Jacob Cueva got on the board with a single as well.
Batters were not the only ones who got some highlight moments.
Ulises Quiroga,
Zach Westbrook,
Jessie Moreno,
Ethan Campos and
Adam DeBoer all registered strikeouts against the Hooks.
Jose Gonzalez would go the longest for the Hogs, going 1.2 innings and wrapping up the sixth with a three-up, three-down inning.
