Kingsville - Texas A&M-Kingsville returns home seeking a bounce-back performance against  No. 4 Angelo State in a four game series at Nolan Ryan Field.
This weekend's series was originally scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but has been adjusted due to inclement weather in the Kingsville area.
The Javelinas (19-15, 18-14 LSC) currently sit with a six-game losing streak after dropping all four road contests to Lubbock Christian University. Now the Javelinas face one of the best teams in the country in the Rams (24-6, 22-6 LSC).Â
Any way you slice it, Angelo possesses one of the best offenses in the entire country. The Rams currently lead all of Division II in Batting Average (.394), Doubles (85), On Base Percentage (.523), and Runs Scored (352). Angelo State also leads the conference in Slugging (.616) and RBI's (324).
While the Javelinas' offensive numbers are not at staggering, the offense has come alive in the past couple of series. Four Hogs hit homeruns this past weekend, including
Sergio Galvan Jr,
Isaiah Aguilar, redshirt-freshman
Easton Hewitt and true freshman
Maurice Martinez. Six Javelinas are now hitting over .300 and seven Javelinas are posting double-digit RBI's this season.
First pitch for game one on Saturday is set for 3:00 pm. Fans of the Javelinas can watch live on FloCollege or follow the game at JavelinaBSB on Twitter.
