Kingsville - Texas A&M-Kingsville fell on get-away day, 11-2, and split the series against St. Mary's at Nolan Ryan Field.
The Javelinas (19-11, 18-10 LSC) allowed 11 runs on 10 hits to the Rattlers (15-11, 13-11 LSC) as the series score was evened up, 2-2. This was just the second time that the Hogs lost on a Sunday, in which they were previously  5-1.
St. Mary's jumped on the Javelinas early in the game, much like they did in game three, with an early three runs in the second inning with a three-run homerun. The Javelinas got a run back however, with
Sergio Galvan Jr. kotching his 14th RBI of the season by bringing
Nick Reyes home to make it a 3-1 ballgame.
A majority of the damage would be done in the following inning for the Rattlers, as they would plate five runs with three hits plus a Javelinas error to balloon their lead to 8-1.
Niko Garcia would get called onto the mound in the third, but the damage was done for the Hogs.
The Javelinas would get runners aboard, many of which would be in scoring position, but just could not capitalize on those opportunities. Texas A&M-Kingsville was just 2-12 with runners in scoring position despite hitting better overall, going 9-33 compared to the Rattler 10-37.
Texas A&M-Kingsville heads back on the road up to the panhandle to take on Lubbock Christian University in a four-game weekend series. Fans of the Javelinas can watch live on FloCollege or follow the game at JavelinaBSB on Twitter.
