Kingsville - Texas A&M-Kingsville returns to Nolan Ryan Field for a four-game series against St. Mary's University beginning on Friday.
The Hogs will look to continue their Lone Star Conference-best eight-game win streak against a Rattler team who is coming off a series win themselves, taking down Texas A&M-International 3-1 last week.
For the Javelinas, the winning streak has come with gritty performances and wild comeback victories. Last series against Oklahoma Christian, the Javelinas needed a pair of comeback victories to get the series sweep over the Eagles.
Easton Hewitt and
Damian Carreon played hero in the final comeback win, scoring the tying and go-ahead run with good base-running and two Eagle errors.
The bats of the Rattlers will be a good test for the Javelinas this week, as St. Mary's currently sits with the fourth best team batting average in the conference with a .316. The pitching staff for the Javelinas have been exceptional near the midpoint of the season, sitting with the second best team-ERA in the LSC with a 4.81.Â
First pitch for Friday's contest is set for 6:00 p.m. CST from Nolan Ryan Field. Fans of the Javelinas can watch live on FloCollege or follow the games at JavelinaBSB on Twitter.
