Box Score Lawton, OK - Texas A&M-Kingsville got the series win against Cameron University in a wild 7-6 victory at McCord Field on Sunday.
The Javelinas (4-4, 4-4 LSC) trailed 5-6 heading into the top of the ninth inning against the Aggies (3-5, 3-5 LSC).
Joshua Endo would turn into the hero for the Javelinas on get away day, as his RBI single tied the game at six apiece, then would later score on a wild pitch from Cameron.
Ulises Quiroga would then get called onto the mound in the ninth to seal the win for the Hogs.
Quiroga earned his first win of the season after facing five batters, walking two batters but not surrendering a hit and getting three quick outs to get Texas A&M-Kingsville their first series win of the season.
First blood was drawn by the Javelinas, who scored two runs in the top of the first after
Jacob Cueva brought one home, then
Vincent Sanchez scored moments later. Cameron got the Javelinas back however, as they would explode for four runs in the bottom of the second inning.
Needing to answer back, the Javelinas would get that answer in the top of the fourth. Cueva would get another hit and advanced to third from an Aggie throwing error, Elijah West would get on after getting hit by pitch, then
Sergio Galvan Jr. would single to bring in both West and Cueva to knot the game up at four.
It would be the Javelinas who would then break the tie, as Cueva's third hit of the game git him on base. West would then double to get Cueva onto third base, and
Nick Reyes would bring Cueva home with a SAC RBI to give the Hogs a one-run lead.
Cameron would answer right back however, as they scored two runs with two hits in the bottom of the seventh. Neither team got going in the eighth, but the Javelinas were able to get the late lead in the ninth and close the series out from there.
