Javelinas hit the road for the first time against Cameron

Lawton, OK - Texas A&M-Kingsville hits the road for the first time this season as it travels north to take on Cameron University in a four-game series.

The Javelinas (1-3, 1-3 LSC) are coming off a series loss to Eastern New Mexico, losing the first three games against the Greyhounds but getting their first win of the 2025 season in the get-away game. Now, the Javelinas hit the road for the first time this season as they take on the Aggies (2-2, 2-2 Lone Star Conference).

Cameron is led by an explosive offense that can put up a ton of runs, as evident in the final game of the first week for the Aggies. Cameron scored the most runs in the early goings on the season of any team in the conference with 26 runs. Lance Barnett was also named the LSC and the National College Baseball Writers Association hitter of the week as he racked up three HR's, three doubles, a triple and 10 RBI's over the four game series last week.

Not to be outdone, the Javelinas' Vincent Sanchez had himself a series against the Greyhounds last week as well. The Senior from Houston has 13 at-bats and finished with eight hits, five RBI's and scored two runs himself. Sanchez also only struck out twice all series long, and currently sits with the third-best batting average in the conference with a .615 average.

Joining him in the lineup is out fielder Joshua Endo. The transfer from Southwestern University has scored five runs with six walks and five walks. This includes a three-walk performance in game three of the series against Eastern New Mexico. Endo leads the team and is currently in the top-20 for OPS with 1.324.

First pitch for this weekend's series is set for 3:00 on Friday from McCord Field. Fans of the Javelinas can watch live on FloCollege of follow live coverage at JavelinaBSB on Twitter.
