Kingsville - Texas A&M-Kingsville looks get get back to its winning ways as they face off against Sul Ross State in a four-game series at Nolan Ryan Field.

The Javelinas (9-9, 8-8 LSC) are currently on a five-game losing streak after dropping Wednesday's game against Texas A&M-International and their previous weekend series to No. 5 UT-Tyler. Needing to get back on track, the Javelinas set their sights on the Lobos (2-14, 2-14 LSC) who are trying to find their footing this season.

Over the past five games, the offense has been in a bit of a rut, as the Javelinas have yet to put up five-or-more runs after doing so in six games during their seven game winnings streak earlier this season. However, the Lobos might be just what the doctor ordered. Sul Ross State has given up by far the most runs in the conference with 216 runs given up as well as the most hits with 197 hits.

This bodes well for players such as Nick Reyes and Maurice Martinez, who have been consistent producers for the Javelinas this season from the middle of the lineup. Reyes is five of nine in his last three games while Martinez has been impressive in his first season of college ball, hitting .361 with three RBI's this season.

To keep the Lobo offense in check, the Javelinas will look to a starting rotation that has been performing well as of late. Karson Shepherd, Ulises Quiroga and Gabriel LeBlanc make up the core of starters for the Javelinas while the Sunday starter is still up in the air. Shepherd and Quiroga lead the team with 17 strikeouts each while LeBlanc sits fourth on the team in ERA.
