Midland - Texas A&M-Kingsville opens up its conference schedule against the reigning Lone Star Conference Champion UT-Permian Basin Saturday at Astound Broadband Stadium.
The Javelinas (1-1, 0-0 Lone Star Conference) will look to start their conference schedule off on the right foot after splitting their non-conference schedule. Coming off of a win against Mississippi College last week, the Javelinas will look to build off of their performance.
Last season, the Falcons (2-1, 1-0 LSC) claimed the conference championship after going undefeated in conference play. This included a 29-17 victory last season against the Javelinas, who seek to avenge that loss this season.
Kickoff for the game between the Javelinas and the Falcons is set for 6:00 p.m. CT, live coverage of the contest will be available on Live Stats and Flosports.

- Defensive end
Demarcus Hendricks was named last week's LSC defensive player of the week after totaling three tackles, all of which were for loss, two sacks, a forced fumble and a recovered fumble off of a blocked punt.
