KINGSVILLE, Texas - The Javelinas closed out the series against the Lubbock Christian Chaps on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Chaps, 10-4.
The Javelinas (23-19, 21-19 LSC) are now 2-1-1 in their last four series.
Both teams put points on the scoreboard to open the game with a run each in the first inning.
Dalton Kramer got the Javelinas off to a hot start, blasting a solo home run to right field on the Hogs' first at-bat of the game.
The Chaps regained the lead with three runs in the second inning and two runs in the third, then extending their lead further in the fifth with two more runs. The Javelinas got back on the board again in the bottom of the fifth with another run.

Both teams posted one run apiece in both the seventh and ninth innings as the Javelinas could not reel the Chaps back in. Kramer added two more RBIs to his tally with a single to right in the seventh before dinging his second solo shot of the day in the ninth.
Andrew Duran (5-0) is credited with the win for LCU while
Jake Thielen (1-3) is given the loss for TAMUK.

The Javelinas take on their final road trip of the regular season, facing No. 18 Angelo State in San Angelo starting on Friday, April 12 with game one scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
