TUCSON, Ariz - The Texas A&M-Kingsville women's golf team wrapped up the second and final day of competition at the West Texas Desert Invitational, hosted by West Texas A&M at The Lodge at Ventana Canyon.
After poor weather on day one cut the 54-hole competition down to 36 holes, the Javelinas finished day two in 19th place with a team score of 664 (+88). St. Mary's took home first place in the competition with a score of 596 (+20). West Texas and Oklahoma Christian finished second and third at 603 (+27) and 604 (+28).
Zoe Dean followed up her great first round with another round under +10, finishing the day at +9 with a birdie on hole 3. Dean finished the tournament as the lowest-scoring Javelina, tying for 37th overall with a total score of +15. The score is the freshman's best career performance in the Blue & Gold over 36 holes by one stroke, beating out her previous best of +16 set at the Golfweek D-II Fall Invitational on Oct. 2.
Cesilee Mokry bounced back from her first round to finish just two strokes behind Dean in round two at +11 on the day. Mokry finishes in 93rd place with an overall score of +30.
Kristin Grabow came in right behind Mokry on day two, carding a second-round score of +12, coming in tied for 80th individually with a total of +23
Victoria Patterson and
Jamie Miller both turned in scorecards of +13 on the round. Patterson finishes tied for 65th with an overall score of +20 while Miller finishes in 100th place at +37 over the two rounds.

The Javelinas travel to the WinStar Golf Course in Thackerville, OK to compete in the Lone Star Conference Championship starting Monday, April 15-17.
