Pueblo, CO. - Texas A&M-Kingsville fell to Colorado State-Pueblo at Massari Arena on Saturday.
The Javelinas (2-2) could not get their offense unwound, as they struggled to consistently convert their scoring opportunities. The Thunderwolves (3-0) on the other hand were able to get their offense going and took it to the Javelinas.
James Livingston and
Isaiah Payne both finished with a team-high 11 points,
Allen Singleton led the team with five rebounds and a combination of Livingston, Payne and Singleton led the team with.
The offensive woes for the Javelinas were apparent in all facets of the game, as the Javelinas shot just 28.6 percent from the field and 20.8 percent from beyond the arc. The Thunderwolves however were able to convert eight 3-pointers themselves.
CSU-Pueblo was able to take advantage of a short-handed front court for the Javelinas, as they scored 44 points in the paint compared to the Javelinas' 18. The Thunderwolves also notched four blocks as well.
