KINGSVILLE, Texas — Texas A&M-Kingsville women's basketball coachÂ
Michael Madrid has announced the dates for a pair of camps over the summer, with the Javelinas first hosting a two-day High School Prospect Camp beginning Monday, June 26, ahead of a Fundamentals Camp on Wednesday, June 28. Both camps will occur at Bishop High School in Bishop, Texas, and online registration is active.Â
Â
The High School Prospect Camp will span two days, each from 1-4 p.m., and is open to 9-12 grade students. The camp is designed with varsity student-athletes in mind and focuses on developing a higher skill level for both inside players and guards. The camp will be run similarly to TAMUK women's basketball practices, with current Javelinas demonstrating and participating in drills alongside the campers. The entry fee is $100, and each participant will receive a free T-shirt.
Â
The Fundamentals camp is slated to run from 1-4 p.m., with students entering grades 3-8 welcome to participate. The registration fee is $75, and the camp is built around teaching and building the basic fundamentals of the game. Participants will receive a free T-shirt, and instruction will be provided by Javelina women's basketball coaches and staff.Â
Â
Registration for both camps is limited to 80 in order to provide the proper coach-to-camper ratio, and interested parties can sign up and learn more at www.javelinaathletics.com/WBBCAMP
