McALLEN, Texas – The Texas A&M-Kingsville women's golf team finished tied for tenth with a team score of 945 this afternoon at the UTRGV Invitational in a fourteen-team field that featured several Division I programs.
For the second straight day, Victoria Patterson (76-76-80--232) carded the lowest round for the Javelina shooting an 80 for the third and final round. The freshman from San Antonio, secured a birdie on her third hole of the day the par four, number 10 of McAllen Country Club but a double then triple bogey on holes 12 and 16 saw her fall back the leaderboard finishing tied for 36th.
Alessia Rojas and Kristin Grabow matched each other shooting 236 for the tournament finishing tied for 46th as Katelyn Habib and Briana Silerio finished tied for 58th and tied for 75th.
As a team, the Javelinas had the eighth most pars of any team in the field with 140 across three rounds on the 5,951 yard par 71 McAllen Country Club course.
Next, the Javelinas will head to Pebble Beach, Calif. and Poppy Hills Golf Club for The Patriot Invitational.
