LAREDO, Texas – The Javelina women's golf team finished the Jack Brown Memorial Invitational with two players in the top-25 individual leaderboard and eighth place overall.
As a team, the Javelinas finished 8th overall
Victoria Patterson improved by two strokes over her first round 79, carded a final round score of 77 which helped the freshman finish tied for ninth shooting 156 for the tournament.
The San Antonio product also led the tournament in pars with 24 across the two days.
Fellow freshman Cesilee Mokry caught fire down the back stretch of the second-round shooting par or better on five of the last six holes including two birdies to help her finish with a final round 79.
The second day, two-shot improvement saw the LaVernia, Texas native finish tied for 17th .
Alessia Rojas carded an 85 marking a four-shot improvement from day one as she finished 49th overall.
Kristin Grabow and Katelyn Habib rounded out the day for the Javelinas with day two scores of 88 and 91 finishing tied for 52nd and tied for 55th respectively.

The Javelinas now prepare for the Islander classic on Feb. 20-21 at the Corpus Christi Country Club.
