KINGSVILLE, Texas – The Javelina men's basketball team returns to the SPEC this week with two Lone Star Conference games on the schedule against Midwestern State and Cameron.
TAMUK (17-9, 11-7 LSC), returns home after splitting four straight games on the road going 2-2 over the last two weeks. The home stand begins this Thursday against the Mustangs of MSU (11-14, 8-11 LSC) at 7:30 p.m. and continues Saturday for Senior Day against Cameron (4-21, 2-17 LSC) at 3 p.m.
For Senior Day, the Blue and Gold will be recognizing members of the team that will be graduating at the end of the season including Will Chayer, Creighton Avery, and Sammy Brooks.
Last week, the Javelinas picked up a thrilling last second win on Thursday against UT Tyler as Marcus Jones-Green nailed a game-winning three-pointer with six seconds left to lift the Javelinas to a 58-57 victory.
In the win, Dillon Gooding posted a game high 16 points followed Avery who posted 15 points.
TAMUK then fell to the Patriots of DBU, last Saturday on the road, 76-60.

SCOUTING THE MUSTANGS
MSU comes to Kingsville having gone 1-1 last week with a 65-59 win over UT Permian Basin before falling to one of the top teams in the LSC in a 69-55 loss to Angelo State.
As a team the Mustangs are second in the conference in rebounds per game averaging 36.72 boards per game.
MSU is 3-9 on the road this season having lost its last four games on the road, with the team's last road victory coming on Jan. 1 against Lubbock Christian.
MSU is 0-2 playing in Kingsville under head coach Justin Leslie, including a 59-58 loss at Kingsville last year as Will Chayer converted a putback layup with a second remaining to give TAMUK the win.
SCOUTING THE AGGIES
Cameron travels to south Texas under first year head coach Kevin O'Conner riding a six-game losing streak.
The Aggies last win came on Jan. 21 with an 84-72 win over Arkansas Fort Smith.
DeSean Munson leads Cameron offensively with 11.8 points per game followed by Caylen Goff-Brown who averages 11.3.
CU also leads the conference in defensive rebounds per game but averages the most turnovers with 16.4 giveaways per contest.
