The Javelinas invite TAMIU to Nolan Ryan Field Wednesday and ENMU Friday through Sunday

KINGSVILLE, Texas- The Texas A&M-Kingsville baseball team is set to host Texas A&M-International in a nonconference matchup on Wednesday, with first pitch set for 5 p.m., ahead of a four-game Lone Star Conference slate with Eastern New Mexico that begins Friday at 3 p.m.

Following the series opener, the teams will meet again Saturday, with a 1 p.m. doubleheader ahead of the finale Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Javelinas (3-5, 3-6 LSC) will take on the Dustdevils (1-7, 1-7 LSC) after a successful road trip to Canyon, where they took three games from No. 17 West Texas A&M and put up 52 runs.

As a team, the Hogs batted .400 with five Javelinas launching longballs, including two who hit multiple. Jan Cabrera picked up the squad's lone win of the season and, in two starts, has thrown 9.1 innings and struck out 12.

The Greyhounds (3-5, 3-5 LSC) enter the weekend tied with TAMUK for seventh in the conference standings and have had a similar start to the campaign picking up their first three wins last time out.

They boast four hitters with an OPS north of 1,000, including Jonatan Clough, who has hit three home runs with a .370 batting average. Dylan Hummel is not far behind, batting .360 with four RBIs, while Cooper Hamilton is tied with Clough for the team lead, plating five runs on the year despite hitting .179.

ENMU holds a team ERA of 6.98 while trotting out Adrian Rubio, Noah De La Riva, Ruger Bravo, and Dylan Thatcher as starters. Julian Lope has been the team's most dominant force out of the bullpen, with a 1.80 ERA in three appearances and five innings.
