DESTIN, Florida – The Golfweek Division II Invitational at the Raven Golf Club wrapped up on Tuesday, and the Texas A&M-Kingsville women's golf team put on a great showing in the final round.
The Javelinas shot a 301 for the day (+17) – their lowest round of the invitational - and finished the competition in seventh-place with an overall team score of 915 (+63). The overall total marks the lowest 54-hole total in program history for an NCAA event.

"Overall, this week has been a big step forward for the program and for this team mentally," said head coach
Stefanie Maynard, summarizing her thoughts on the competition for the team, "They have great things ahead this season."
Helping the team to the new 54-hole best was
Cesilee Mokry with new personal best of her own. Two birdies on the front nine and a birdie on hole 17 led Mokry to a round score of 71 (E), finishing the invitational tied for seventh-place at +6 overall. Mokry was the lowest scoring Jav in all three rounds.
Also turning in great final rounds for the Javelinas was
Victoria Patterson and
Zoe Dean, who both finished the round at +5. A birdie apiece on the front and back nines helped Patterson to beat her previous round score by seven strokes. Dean found two birdies on the front nine and a birdie on hole 10 to improve on her second-round score by two strokes.
Kristin Grabow finished her final round at +7 after shooting a +6 the day before to finish the tournament at +21 overall, tying alongside Dean for 37
th place. Patterson finished her competition at +20 overall, good enough to tie for 34
th-place.
Alessia Rojas rounded out the day for the Javelinas at +13, ending the invitational with an overall score of +30 to finish tied for 50
th-place.
