WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The Texas A&M-Kingsville women's golf team wrapped up the final round of the Midwestern Invitational on Tuesday at the Wichita Falls Country Club, hosted by Midwestern State.
The team came into the final round after the first two rounds on the first day and shot a 347 (+59) to finish out the competition. The Javelinas finish 11
th-place overall with a total score of 1000 (+136). St. Mary's claimed first place for the competition at +14 overall, with Dallas Baptist close behind in second with a score of +21. West Texas A&M secured the last step on the podium in third at +47.
Cesilee Mokry carded the lowest score of the day for the Javelinas. A birdie on hole 16 helped to finish out her round at +10. Mokry finishes the competition tied for 43
rd-place alongside teammate
Victoria Patterson at +30 overall. Patterson drained a birdie on hole three to finish her round at +11.
Jamie Miller secured 59
th-place for the squad after shooting +20 on the day to finish +45 overall.
Alessia Rojas came in just behind her teammate at 60
th-place, carding +18 for the round and +46 overall.
Kristin Grabow was forced to withdraw due to injury.
The conclusion of the competition marked the end of the 2023 Fall schedule for the Javelinas. They will now rest and prepare for competition to resume in the Spring.
