KINGSVILLE, Texas – Texas A&M-Kingsville women's golf prepares for their final tournament of the 2023 Fall season as they head to Wichita Falls, Texas to compete in the Midwestern Invitational, hosted by conference foe Midwestern State.
The two-day competition will be held at Wichita Falls Country Club, a 6900-yard course with a par of 72.
Teeing up for the Javelinas in Wichita Falls will be Cesilee Mokry, Victoria Patterson, Kristin Grabow, Alessia Rojas, and Jamie Miller.
The team is coming off a record-breaking performance at the Golfweek Division II Invitational, where they broke the program record for lowest team score over 54-holes at an NCAA event.
Mokry led the way for the Javelinas last time out, bringing home a seventh-place finish with an overall score of +6 over the three rounds. She also secured a new personal best single round in the final day, shooting an even par to finish off the competition. Mokry was the lowest scoring Jav in all three rounds.
Victoria Patterson and Kristin Grabow gave solid performances as well in their last time out on the course in Destin. Patterson finished at +20 overall to secure 34th-place while Grabow finished in 37th just behind Patterson at +21.
Rojas will be looking to finish the fall season strong as well after finishing the week in Destin in 50th place with an overall score of +30.
Miller's last outing for the Javelinas came at the Oklahoma Intercollegiate on September 12. There she helped the squad to break another program record for lowest scoring single team round on day one of the competition, finishing the tournament in 31st-place with a score of +17.
Rounds one and two of the Midwestern Invitational tees off on Monday, October 16 with the third and final round on October 17.
