KINGSVILLE, Texas – The Javelinas (4-0, LSC 2-0) return to action this Saturday at 8 p.m. central, as they take their longest trip of the season to take on LSC affiliate member Simon Fraser (B.C) Red Leafs (0-2, LSC 0-2).
The game will be played in Blaine, Washington instead of the Red Leafs' home of Burnaby, British Columbia due to travel logistics regarding the Canadian border.
The Javs enter week five of the season undefeated for the first time since 2009 when they started 7-0. The Hogs make their first of two trips to the Pacific Northwest coming off a commanding 43-10 win over Eastern New Mexico last Saturday.
This will be the third time the two schools have met with the Texas A&M-Kingsville winning the two previous meetings with the most recent coming in 2017 when the Javelinas won in Burnaby 35-7.
"Our focus this week has been on us," said head Javelina football coach
Mike Salinas. "We have to be sure to come out and play fast and clean, and do our jobs well to come out with the victory."
