The Javelinas (18-9, 16-9 LSC) bested the Rams (21-6, 19-6 LSC), as TAMUK knocked off the 10th ranked team in the nation, with Wolff, Perales, and sophomoreĀ

The Rams struck first, putting two on the board in the top of the first before Lunsford clamped down and delivered five scoreless innings striking out four.Ā

Benjamin Elder kept the Javelinas off the board until the sixth inning when the Hogs put five on the scoreboard after sophomoreĀ
Matthew CastroĀ (Corpus Christi, Texas) led off the inning, getting plunked by a pitch. A fielder's choice and a single by sophomoreĀ
