Javelinas Baseball to host annual Fall World Series

The event will feature three games across four days at Nolan Ryan Field

KINGSVILLE, Texas- The time has come for the Texas A&M-Kingsville baseball program to host its annual Fall World Series, with Team Blue taking on Team Gold in a best-of-three contest with first pitch Sunday, at 3 p.m., ahead of a 6 p.m. start Monday and the series finale Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Nolan Ryan Field.

Team Blue is led by Ivan Duarte and Matthew Sesler, with Duarte coming off a season in which he maintained a .333 batting average while smashing 48 hits and 12 doubles for the squad. Sesler, meanwhile, made 14 appearances out of the bullpen, striking out a career-high 20 batters in 20.1 innings pitched.

Catcher Steven Bonuz and pitcher Luis Martinez will captain the Gold Squad. Bonuz has appeared in 77 games for the Javelinas, belting six home runs and hitting .307, while Martinez was one of the Javelina bullpen's top arms in his first season with TAMUK, punching out 19 with a 2.70 ERA.

Entry for the Fall World Series will be free for all those willing to attend, and full rosters for both teams can be found below:
