• CSC brought in five transfers and 10 freshman to replenish the ranks in 2021-22
• Jori Peters and Bailey Brooks are the two returning seniors for the Eagles
• Peters is a 2019-20 All-RMAC honorable mention and averaged 9.5 points and 3.8 rebounds last year while starting all 13 games
• Brooks appeared in 12 games with six starts and averaged 6.3 points and 4.7 rebounds
• Janet Raymer is in her sixth season at the helm of the program
2021-22 In Review
• The Javelinas finished the 2020-21 COVID-shortened season with an 8-8 overall record and an identical mark in league games
• It is the first time since 2009-10 TAMUK finished with a .500 record in Lone Star Conference game
• The Blue and Gold opened the year with back-to-back wins over UAFS, the first time the program opened conference play with consecutive wins since 2008-09

Brianna Pena became the first Javelina to be named Second Team All-LSC at the end of the year since Lindsey Mahone in 2013-14

Mia Cherry was named All-LSC honorable mention, while
Janessa Payne landed on the LSC's All-Freshman squad
• 10 returners grace the 2021-22 roster, while four newcomers take to the court

• Pena leads a group of 10 returners for the 2021-22, one year after being named All-LSC second team
• Pena led the Javelinas with a 14.2 scoring average while shooting 46.4% from the floor, the highest scoring output by a member of the Blue and Gold since Felicia Soza average 15.6 in 2009-10
• Cherry's All-LSC honorable mention season came courtesy of 9.8 points per game while shooting 35.7% from the field as she appeared in 12 games
• Payne's All-Freshman campaign was on the heels of a 8.4 scoring rate with a 44.6% clip from beyond the arc

• Ohiaeri is a Division I transfer from UC Riverside where she played for two seasons
• Herrera comes to TAMUK from Casper College, while Suarez last played for UPR Rio Piedras in 2019-20

• Madrid doubled his win total as the Javs' lead man in 2020-21, pushing his overall coaching record to 82-85 through six seasons
• Madrid joined Kingsville after spending two years as assistant coach at UTEP, two years as the head coach of San Jacinto College and two years as the bench boss at Paris Junior College
